Thank you so much for accepting to be a Ma and Pa and Captains for our upcoming Trek. We believe we have a really outstanding group of people.
We wanted to make sure you were aware of dates of importance, so that you can plan to attend.
Important Dates:
Jan. 25, 2026 Kickoff Fireside. All the youth, Ma’s and Pas, Captains, Ward Reps and all Committee members are invited.
Topics of discussion will be clothing, packing lists, how to physically / spiritually prepare, online registration.
Sat. March 21, Ma & Pa Training:

- Learn to Barn Dance. (then come to the Stake Dance on March 28th and help instruct the youth)
*Juneau will watch the training broadcast and then 'Learn to Barn Dance' on their own.

Dutch Oven Cooking is a vital skill in which we need to have everyone trained and comfortable doing!
Actually, every bit of training for this day is very important so please plan on attending!
*Juneau will train themselves in ‘Dutch Oven Cooking and ‘Fire Starting’ and then will join us in a ZOOM meeting for the remainder of the training
June 3-6: Trek!
Please arrive at the Palmer staging area at 8 am sharp.
June 6, 6:00-7 pm: Final fireside / Trek slide show & movie.
(The youth will have a stake dance at 7pm following the fireside)

Clothing:
Items of clothing you can start pulling together for your time on Trek.
Come dressed in and wear each day of the Trek:
Men: A pair of long pants - cotton, canvas or khaki (no jeans)
A long sleeved pioneer-style shirt (no logos)
Suspenders
Vest
Pioneer Hat (no ball caps)
Women:
A pioneer style dress (mid-calf length) or mid-calf length skirt and a long sleeve blouse
A pioneer style bonnet
An apron with deep pockets
Bloomers/knee shorts or leggings - to be worn under dress or skirt
